Childrens Program

Program Overview
Our children's program, for ages 5 and up, provides a safe and non-competitive enviroment in which the student learns self-discipline and respect, for parents, teachers and self, all while developing mind and body, and learning to defend oneself.
We believe that fighting is NOT a game or a sport and should never be treated as such.  Our students advance by improving their skills and face classmates as partners, not competitors.
Through their Martial Art training, children can expect to:
  • Get regular proper exercise
  • Improve coordination and motor skills
  • Learn effective self-defense
  • Learn non-violent problem solving skills
  • Reach higher levels of achedemic achievement
  • Develop good manners
  • Develop confidence and a positive self-image
  • Learn the value of respect

Class Discipline
Within the class, instructors are trained to motivate the children through positive encouragement towards better standards of technique, attitude and behavior.
By learning self-discipline and self-control, martial art students are able to motivate themselves to act appropriately both inside and outside of the class.

All of this is accomplished in a positive and fun manner. Our program makes learning exciting, increasing a childs desire to learn. With a positive attitude toward learning comes an eagerness to set and achieve new goals

Hwa Rang Club
